Adventure at the Childrens Museum

Wow! What a cool museum! So much to play with, so little time. Travis really liked holding onto the hanging beads, playing at the tot spot with friends, and of course the mirrors were quite enthralling as well. He even was able to meet one of mom's high school friends and her kids too.

Hanging out with the Santos family

Travis had fun over at the Santos house. He spent the day with grandma Francisca, his great grandmother Beatriz, his grandpa, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bath time!

What can I say, the little man digs his baths.

Just having some fun...

Travis has been working on his bouncing, standing (with a bit of help), and investigating the outdoors, in this case checking out the bird bath and the dripping water--pretty exciting stuff.

Diggin' for Fossils

Travis went to the Museum of Natural Science where part of the Geopalooza exhibit was digging for fossils. After checking out how some older boys were doing it, he did a little excavating of his own.

My First Eggs!

Travis ate his first eggs today and was quite pleased with their taste and how they felt all over his arms, hands, and face!

Fun with the Evans Family

Travis had a great time playing with the beautiful Evans ladies and their toys.

Travieso

With his new-found mobility and active fingers, Travis enjoys being a little mischievous.

Evening Walks in Travis' New Backpack

Travis is diggin' his new backpack. It has added a little peace to evening walks (for everyone involved!).

He took 100% Taquito by Storm!

If you want great Mexican food (D.F.-style) in Houston, you go to 100% Taquito. We took Travis and grandparents there. While we had chicken mole, Travis chowed down on his mushy banana in between squeals, sitting on Pops' lap and pounding on the table.

Tootsie and Pops Visit Travis (and Clinton & Imelda)

Travis enjoyed having Tootsie and Pops in town for the weekend. All of Travis' little squeals and "Da-da-da" went into overdrive and the grandparents got quite a show. It was a fun visit!

Museum of Natural Science and Lucy's Legacy

What to do on a hot, humid, summer day in Houston?...We checked out the Museum of Natural Science and saw Lucy, the ancestor of all. Travis liked the African savanna animal exhibit the best. All the excitement of a visit to Africa without angry hippos or African sleeping sickness. :-)

Exploring the Zoo with Daddy

Imelda and Travis are frequent visitors to the Houston Zoo, but this was Daddy's first time to go with them. We had lots of fun!
